    Ostara here in the UK

Thursday, March 20, 2008, 09:29 AM GMT [General]

While in the store grocery shopping I have been searching in vain for the PAAS egg decorating kits.  They've been an Easter staple since I was very little.  So I decided to ask my friend about it.  They are all about the chocolate eggs here.  And if they boil them and decorate them, they keep 'em for a few days then throw them away.  There is no eating of the eggs.

So I had someone send me a PAAS kit thru the mail.  We plan on introducing our friends to the joys of vinegar and food dye.  Of course it will be interesting to see how they turn out since you can't find white eggs here.  I'm thinking they will look more earthy in color.

    Brightest Blessings and Happy Ostara,

    The waiting game...

Being here in the UK is great.  We've been here since December 2007.  We have a lovely little house, the weather in my opinion is awesome.  I love the rain.  We are getting used to the lingo, I know what a quid is now, and a barney has nothing to do with a purple dinosaur.  We don't drive here, its not needed, buses, taxi's and the underground is everywhere.  Which is good, cuz the town we live in is famous for the amount of roundabouts, and since they drive on the wrong side of the road, its all a bit manic.

So life is perfect right??? No.  We moved with our 3 dogs and 2 cats and our youngest daughter (16).  Moving with pets overseas is a nightmare.  There are all these rules and regulations and paperwork by the mile.  I will spare you the gory details except to say that due to miscommunication, incorrect government info an such our pets ended up in quarantine.  It was only supposed to be for 2 weeks, but of course thats not the case, they are stuck till May.  I hate it, absolutely am miserable over it.  Every other saturday we make the 2 hr trip to the kennel to visit them for a 2hr window.  They are doing fine, they've adjusted, but I haven't.  To compound this, our oldest daughter who is in college stayed behind until she takes her finals, also in May.  She gets here 3 days before the pets.  I miss her terribly.  Even though I know she will be here soon, it just breaks my heart each time I talk to her.

So I've got a calendar and I'm doing the count down, as of today its 65 days for the daughter to get here and 68 till the furbabies are home.  I know its not alot but it seems forever long.  What the heck was up with the month of Feburary, it was like 45 days long right?  Ugh.

Well this is my 2nd blog post EVER.  I'm sure I am doing something wrong lol. But I wanted to share a little bit of my life here in the UK.  Thank you so much for reading if you made it this far.  And if anyone has a way to speed up time for a bit, please deploy it.

    In love and light,

No clue as to what I am doing...

So I am/was the last person on the earth that doesn't have a "space."  I don't know what to do with it, so it will probably be plain and boring until I can get my teenager to show me how this all works.

    In love and light,
